It’s that time again, when I’m writing less and participating more. I’ve been off playing for the past week, getting energized + inspired for a super delicious summer. Truth be told, It’s not just my ideas that are unfolding, It’s simply an exciting time in my life. I’m prepping for June to be nothing short of spectacular. Being a Virgo— the summer is my season so I will be radiating some light, love, warmth on the horizon.
I’ll be announcing more info on My Chocolate parties, lip balm making, articles I’m writing, editing my novel, webisode ideas, and I may even venture back into music biz– woooo hoo! getting down and dirty with a few new ideas.
For now, I am whipping up a short story on my adventures at Lightning in a bottle fest last weekend… So stay tuned.
Coco Invites you..

Hello darling friends, I am here to announce my latest project!
As you may have heard, I’ve been in the realm of Chocolate for the past 9months, thinking perhaps of formulating
my own brand but realizing that just like lip balm making, it’s not easy to create your own product.
I was reminded of difficulties of this process while making my first few batches of raw Chocolate. While grinding cocoa nibs to get it’s paste like form, my grinder burned out dead, and then the Pyrex we were using blew up in my husbands face… Shattered pieces of glass everywhere even a piece hitting his eye…, luckily he was okay, but not exactly off to a good start. I realized most inspiring chocolate makers don’t necessary make their own chocolate, but me— I am about the whole experience of learning and knowing what is in my product.
I’ve been a label reader my whole adult life… simply because I like good products, products that are made well. everything that I use, from the chocolate I eat to the brand of my face products, it has to come from a good source.
I have learned through the process of making things from scratch that fluidity isn’t an easy as I think it would be. I find the same process in my writings… I am very passionate about writing, It’s makes me happy, but I am not perfect. There are times when I’ve laid out a good story, then come to find out after I’ve posted it, that there are several typos… I suddenly I feel embarrassed calling myself a writer, but I have learned spiritually and thoughtfully, that living is about learning, and I will always be a humble student.
I am challenged and determine on every thing I do and make to be prosperous…, not just for me but everyone who is involved in my life, and I’m not necessary talking about money here… more so about value, experience and overall abundance. I am one of those beings who is not attracted to competition, to me it’s an unnecessary flow of life. I’m believer that everyone you meet has some beautiful to offer and that could make for wonderful collaborations. I have met many in the course of my life, that have met a person or sparked an idea that is of value in light of business that I am in, or the social gatherings I bring, it’s something I know my personality relates to because for one, I am all about the connecting our kindred spirits.
I may not be a chocolate maker now, nor the most amazing writer, but the wind can shift it’s course at anytime. the idea of Chocolate is still here… In fact it has hovered around me all these months and like all my grand ideas and epiphanies I realize how I can incorporate and streamline my thoughts leading me to the bigger picture.. Follow me??

“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt”. -Charles M. Schulz
Did everyone see that Big Bright Full Moon this weekend? As you know, the hubbie and I were in the woods, and while normally the woods gets dark quickly as the sun goes down, I was amazed how bright the moon illuminated the trees most of the night.
Now— as you know I am a woman who wears many hats?? If you know me, then you know how I like to do things…. having my hands on a new fun venture is a must, as well as promoting my amazingly creative friends. These days I’ve been throwing down articles for WELO, working on my book of LOVE, promoting my husbands awesome headpieces, and whipping up some yummy lip balms. So, if dare to keep up, then you also know I’ve been tapping into the events circle working to create fashion, art, music parties here and there!
That being said– I wanted to share an idea I’ve been working on since last fall, and while the “actual’ idea is still in the works, one branch from that idea is now here.
The event called, “The Chocolate Invitational”— makes it’s debut on June 28th. The first of many….a series of intimate private Chocolate parties ( yes chocolate tastings and more!). Ashley Walsh co-owner of Intentional Chocolate is bringing fourth some of her delicious chocolate pistols for a series of tastings! Joplin Maccoll our music stylist and awesome DJ will be enchanting us with her tunes! There is so much more that will be happening— but wanted to share this tid bit.
We are so excited!! Tickets are limited so be sure to keep checking my blog for the info! The first of many will start June 28th in Venice! Tickets, Website, Press, Sponsors, are all in the works and will officially be announced June 1st, So Stay Tuned!

Personally I can’t imagine wearing these spectacles, then again…. who knew social networking was going to be so relevant these days. I suppose we now live in a world that anything is worth checking out, after all it is our future.

“Smoke Weed Everyday”
April 8th, 2012 § Leave a Comment
Ha… if that title didn’t get you this will. Snoop Dog is rolling with words!! yep…. I’m posting this for a bit of fun… okay– so it’s not your typical happy easter hunting and making eggs post. I was reading the digital news post this am, and spotted that San Francisco Advertising Agency Periera & O’Dell, has helped create a smokable lyrics book called ‘Rolling Words’ with the master of smoke himself, Snoop Dog… How Dope is that!! (good job Periera & O’Dell)… this is such a genius marketing idea that had to post!! haha… on easter.
The book cover that is made out of hemp-like material is perforated and easy for tearing and sharing has also a spine can be used as a match-striking surface. In addition, Classic songs like ‘Gin & Juice,’ ‘Nuthin’ Like a ‘G’ Thang,’ ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot,’ among others are printed on rolling paper.
Coachella fans how stoked will you be??? The book will have short-run available to those who are attending the festival, which features Snoop and Dr. Dre as the headliners ( April 13-15 and April 20-22). In words of Snoop himself… says he created the book “So people can always remember, you can roll with an expert or you can roll with Snoop.” We are rolling with the D-O-double g. Fa rizzle, my dizzle.

Gregory Parkinson for Anthropologie
March 29th, 2012 § Leave a Comment
There are people in life whom you meet that have such a grace and mannerism about them that is so genuine… that you will always remember that encounter.
I met designer Gregory Parkinson at my girlfriend’s going away party. When we got to chatting, he was kind enough to give me some tips and advice on my lip balm, as well some contacts over at C magazine. In LA people just don’t offer up help or advice so easily… Usually you have to wine and dine someone to have a conversation like that.. I appreciated that.
At the time when we met he was just getting his line up and running and was on the verge of really getting it out there… still he was so humbled. A year later I went to one of his sample sales at Palihouse, and again—he was so kind. As I watched his career enter the spotlight through facebook postings, getting nods by Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, and doing a stint on a fashion series, whenever I’d reach out to him with questions or advice he had the same genuine kindness with his replies.
Three years later and much regarded recognition under his belt… Gregory’s Trans Seasonal Collection is coming to Anthropologie.
When I heard the news… It was one of those super happy feelings… Like— “it couldn’t of happen to a more nicer person”
Congrats Gregory Parkinson!!
Henna LOVE
March 28th, 2012 § 1 Comment
While pondering the thought of outfits and adornments to wear for music festival season, I realized.. Wait.. What’s missing?? Aah yes— getting my Henna done. I LOVE Henna art, and usually get some art done before each festival. Henna was regarded for luck as well as joy and beauty. In many countries Henna signifies celebration, and at one point I considered learning henna art because I love celebration, let alone it’s elegant and pensive style speaks to my mystical and spiritual side.
There are many places to get Henna done, but I usually go to the Indian market on Washington Blvd in Culver City… a place you wouldn’t know did Henna unless you asked the girl at the register…
Check out these beautiful Henna photos!
Ummm… Eyelashes are WICKED w/ Henna!!!
Amazing Right???!!! Get your Henna on!!
Is Spring really here?
March 26th, 2012 § Leave a Comment
I can’t seem to tell if we are just getting into the thick of winter or really moving into spring?! The rain and thunder is always a welcome change,
But it sure is cold in los angeles especially down here by the beach. For a moment there I was just jumping for joy that is was spring, but the vibe
and the chill in the air still feels like winter.
These past few days, I’ve had very little motivation to write which is strange because I love to write. Dam mercury retrograde! I am just getting a sense that my soul is needing to be still and silent… as the rain came in last night, I realized I needed to honor my thoughts. While in this state of mind, it’s very easy for me to just stop everything, but I didn’t want to go too long without posting on my blog, a commitment I made while I am on this journey even if my mood wasn’t up for it.
So, I thought i’d share a yummy Chicken Meatball recipe from Shiva Rose’s lovely blog, The Local Rose. If you make it while it’s chilly and rainy, it will warm you up and put a smile on your face.. and it just seems like a good time for some comfort food. Thanks Shiva for Nourishing us!!
Black Milk Leggings…. All the Rage!!
March 22nd, 2012 § Leave a Comment
Last night we went out dancing with friends… one of our girlfriend’s, Anthea had on these Black Milk Leggings. Surprisingly my husband knew she had on the Black Milk’s… when he pointed them out. She smiled and said yes— it’s my latest obsession. What is Black Milk—I ask?
Apparently these printed LEGGINGS are all the rage. Ladies of all ages are completely obsessed and buying them up… searching for deals on line, because the price for one of these babies is upwards $75, Ummm yes! that’s a pretty penny for a pair of leggings. Then again… there is something very unique about each pair— most of these leggings prompted “limited” and “sold out”… which makes you obsess on them more!
I finally had a chance to check out Black Milks website and can now see why?!! Even my new black shiny leggings don’t compare to these stylish printed galaxy ones.
Would you buy a pair of these for the price?? I will say throughout the evening Anthea got props and compliments everywhere we went.

Check out their website, and their facebook… There’s a pretty good reason these ladies are so obsessed. And a good story on how a broke guy with little money turned his business into a success. The company is located in Australia…
the photos posted are some of my favorite looks… of course most of them are SOLD OUT!! DAM!
Thanks Anthea… now i’ll be obsessed of getting a pricey pair…. after all it is festival music season.
