Orange Optimist

Color of the day: Orange

Word of the day: Optimist

Hi lovies– well,  the forecast says rain but seeing is believing. The air was actually very warm and the sun was shining…. I almost think people rely to much on the news. My fb status feed was filled with, “Is this earthquake weather” ? or grunts about what the weather should be like because it’s now November. I laugh when people say these things, as Mother Nature does what she wants…we are but a spec in the grand scheme of things.  and I for one think Mother Nature is a man and Father time is a woman :)

Regardless of what the weather service is saying, I  don’t think about the weather much except to say how beautiful the sunset is, how amazing the moon looks, how awesome it is to have rain for a few days.
I think if i grew up in a town that snowed and then it didn’t snow–i’d say… where the heck is the snow?? But LA is known for it’s warm sunny weather–so when you come out here why bother wondering why it’s not winter yet? It certainly won’t live up to anyone expectations.
I bring up the weather because I spotted print.. it reminded me of all the rain chatter, and orange felt enlightening on this day 11-11-11.
A Special thank you to all the Veterans! Happy Veteran’s day.
and Happy synchronicity.

It’s a limited edition by Juri Romanov called Orange Optimist. (here) Orange owls black umbrellas. ..

Fridays are my  farmers market mornings. I noticed the beautiful orange colored persimmon, and it made me smile. Tis the season to make persimmon’s pudding for my hubbie.

Bright orangey -red colored Gazpacho from Le Pain. My husband and I have this soup at least a few times a month… today we so happen to have it for lunch, and noticed it too     was beautiful dark orange color! mmmm so yummy.

… and while paying our bill– we spotted some dark chocolate bars! wrapped in orange– aaah the synchronicity today.  of course we had to grab a bar for dessert to go!

Have a Wonderful Weekend!! Rain or Shine!

Ring.. Ring..

If I could choose one thing girly about me I would have to say it’s my love for unique eye catching rings. Those who know me have probably seen me sporting a few of my favorites and can concur.
I have an array of rings for every attire. My murano glass rings from Italy are by far my favorite, and I have a small collection of knuckle rings that are super fun. But lately, vintage inspired ring designs, like an intricate flower or interesting stone color puts smile on my face.
The year of the rabbit is certain one happy bunny love filled year. There are more engagements, weddings and births that I’ve been around in one years time. It reminds me how much I adore vintage wedding rings. There is such a beautiful selection on Etsy (where we got our wedding rings) that sometimes keeps me up late at night, checking on the latest designs.  My mom loved diamonds.. me not so much.  I’ve never been the buy me the $$$.. big, glaring diamond ring girl.  I prefer gemstones over diamonds because there is depth and meaning to each stone and it’s character.
