I love my thoughtful friends some surprising me with their wonderful creations. My lovely singer/songwriter girlfriend Julianna Raye made me beautiful earrings for my birthday, that I received just in time to wear to our friends wedding. WEEKEND FIX

Wow! This coming weekend has some spectacular events!! a bit of a bummer i’ll be missing so much social action. But I’m truly excited to be attending the wedding of two beautiful friends, listening to music under the stars at a private estate, and attending a birthday party at a gun range… how’s that for variety?! For some reason, this weekend seems to be the weekend to catch an invite? So, If you’re in the mood for some social activity… Here’s a list of some great events happening around LA/Westside. If it weren’t for my pre-scheduled weekend, I’d definitely be attending each and every one of these events in support of the truly amazing people in my life who are putting on some very cool stuff!!!

POP GO ZEN w/ Ben Lee sponsored by Harmony Festival is Saturday May 21st 7:30-10pm. An event that will lift your spirits and decrease your stress. Meditation teacher and beautiful songstress Julianna Raye created a musical program to align your stress one song at a time. Special guest Ben Lee will be performing his zen-ful style. Racers on your mark! The Red Bull Soap Box Derby headed DOWNTOWN LA. This event will bring out the crazy kid in all of us.
Home-made Soap Box Car square off and race downtown
5th street and cornering Grand ave. to finish at Pershing Square. Sounds Dangerous, could be? Stupid, yes. Entertaining, you bet!!!
Red Bull Soapbox Race will speed into Downtown Los Angeles on Saturday, May 21, 2011.The event begins at 11:00 a.m., allowing spectators to explore Pit Row, where you can check out the soapboxes and meet the teams!
The first race is at 1:00 p.m. and the final race will take place about 3:15 p.m.
with an awards ceremony immediately following.
